The Tour
This 6 day, 5 night guided Girona cycling holiday covers approximately 300 kilometers starting in Barcelona and finishing in Girona.

Location
Sandwiched between the Pyrenees mountains and the Costa Brava coastline, Girona is world famous with cyclists for its calm and safe roads, all year pleasant weather and stunning variety of terrain. Join over a 100 professional cyclists who live in the region and experience for yourself what it’s like to cycle in Catalonia.

Itinerary
Day one takes you on a gentle ride from Barcelona along the coast to the picturesque seaside town of Blanes where we’ll spend the first night in the comfort of a four star hotel. Take it easy in the evening with a stroll along the beach and dine beside the Mediterranean.

Heading inland on day two, you cycle through the scenic countryside that surrounds Girona as we make our way to the villa. Discover the historic old town of Girona, where we stop for lunch on one of the lively plazas along the river.
Based in the villa for the remaining three days, you cycle some of the best routes in the region with each day offering a unique experience full of historical sites and breathtaking scenery.

Highlights

Some highlights include: wind your way through the hills of the Garrotxa Volcanic Zone Natural Park and visit the medieval village of Besalu and Castellfollit de la Roca. Ride the Costa Brava and visit the ruins of the ancient city of Empuries, founded in 575 BC. Stop for lunch by the crystal clear waters of the Banyoles lake. Appreciate the wonders of Salvador Dali as we cycle to the museum in his birthplace, the town of Figueres.

Accommodation
Spend your time off the saddle and unwind by the pool in our own private villa. Set within vast private land this secluded farmhouse is perfectly located to enjoy the best riding in the region and to sample some local culture by night in the city of Girona.

You are accompanied by our tour chef who cooks and prepares your food while on your cycling holiday.  From healthy and hearty breakfasts to start the day, energy snacks while en-route a choice of healthy BBQs, paellas and tapas  to dine and keep us fuelled on tour!
